Objective:

Design an innovative native mobile application to offer same-day delivery options for e-commerce shoppers, enhancing FedEx’s service offerings.

Role:

UX/UI Design Lead (1 of 2 UX resources in first 2 months of project, was solo afterwards)

Accomplishments:

• Introduced Agile UX Process: Pioneered the UX process within FedEx Services’ first true Agile project, setting a new standard for design and development practices.
• Facilitated Cross-Functional Communication: Coordinated effectively across multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure alignment and collaboration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversaw Application Architecture: Designed and refined the application architecture to support a seamless user experience and efficient delivery of services.
• Managed Project Lifecycle: Guided the project from initial concept through to completion, including daily and weekly design scrums, and served as the Design Scrum Master.
• Led Design Reviews: Approved design iterations in weekly demo sessions, ensuring the final product met high standards and aligned with project goals.

Additional Note:

Implemented a structured SCRUM process where each team held preliminary SCRUM meetings before the daily SCRUM of SCRUMs. This approach, combined with one-week Sprint cycles, proved highly effective in managing project progress and ensuring timely delivery.
